American muscle is all about power and for decades, Dodge, Ford, and Chevrolet have taken it to one another to determine who’s on top. In today’s market, it takes more than a powerful engine to win most buyers over. A car has to ride well, feel great, and have an eye-catching design. That leaves us with the bold claim that the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is the top muscle car.

Top Muscle Car

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro isn’t lacking power by any means. The SS trim’s V8 packs 455 horsep, after all.  In fact, with a claimed 0 to 60 mph time of just four seconds, it challenges the BMW M3 and Bentley Continental GT Speed. That’s just the tip of the iceberg in the sixth generation Camaro.

The 2016 Camaro’s design is a refreshed version of the bestselling fifth generation. The outer shell is slightly smaller but it’s dropped anywhere from 223 lbs to 390 lbs depending on the trim.

The technology inside resembles that of the higher class Corvette. Magnetic Ride Control is standard on SS models and reacts to road changes and suspension fluidly. The cabin itself, from the materials to space, almost matches its more expensive sibling.
