The 2015 Chevrolet Volt was already the best-selling American plug-in for a number of reasons: it’s fuel-efficient, low on emissions, affordable, and stylish. The 2016 Volt promises to be even more than that, and now, thanks to EPA estimates, we have the numbers to back it up.

The recently announced EPA estimates say that the extended-range electric propulsion system in the 2016 Volt will deliver 53 miles of pure EV range, which is an impressive 40 percent improvement over the model’s predecessor.
