The 2015 Chevrolet Trax has received a 5-star Overall Safety Rating for safety as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s New Car Assessment Program. Both the front- and all-wheel drive models received the maximum score.

5-Star Overall Safety Rating

Inside and Out the 2015 Chevy Trax Earned its 5-Star Overall Safety Rating.

The small SUV even received a 5-star score on the side pole impact test, which simulates hitting a tree just behind the driver’s side A-pillar—and this test is difficult to pull off. The Trax managed it thanks to its advanced body structure, which is designed to act as a protective cage for the passenger compartment. Sixty-six percent is high-strength steel—including ultra-high-strength steel in key areas—and there are 10 airbags to boot.

Before the award, Chevrolet already had more 5-star rated 2015 vehicles in its lineup than any other brand sold in the U.S. Its lead is now even further solidified thanks to the Trax’s performance. See for yourself just how safe you’ll feel at Lang Chevrolet!
