Here at Lang Chevrolet Buick GMC, we know that we have many of the world’s greatest vehicles in our current inventory. However, it’s still been hard not to be jealous of Opel, Buick’s sister brand in Europe. The past couple years, GM continually sent some of its hottest ideas to Opel and kept them away from North America. However, that is finally changing, as the Opel Cascada, a stylish and compact convertible, will come to North American dealers as a 2016 Buick model.

Some Buick dealers have already obtained a sneak peek of the new vehicle. “They confiscated our cell phones prior to the event so we were unable to snap photos,” one anonymous dealer reported to Edmunds. “The car is beautiful. This is something we’ve needed for a long time in our lineup.”

This new Buick convertible, which will basically just translate the Cascada from an Opel vehicle to a Buick vehicle, will be built on the same platform as the Verano, but will be shorter than that vehicle. We already know it will be powered by a four-cylinder engine and we also know that it will simply be an awesome car. We look forward to learning more and more details as its North American debuts gets closer and closer.
